HAWES STREET HOUSING
Creating a nurturing community which fosters a sense of pride, stability, and opportunity.
Who we are
At Saltbox, we believe that everyone deserves a place they can proudly call home. In July 2023, we became the parent company for Hawes Street Housing, a group of 28, now 29 properties which provide good quality, well-maintained homes for our tenants.
Since taking over the properties we have worked hard to invest in bringing them up to a high standard as we believe that a well-maintained property fosters a sense of pride and stability, which is crucial for our tenants’ overall wellbeing and creates a positive environment that promotes healing and growth.

Tenants of Hawes Street Housing have access to the various services offered within our Carelink stable, including help with managing their finances, advice on accessing financial benefits, accessing mental health support, help with applying for employment, and personal development programs.
For many of our tenants, their time with us may be brief as they work to regain their independence; however, for others facing more complex challenges, their stay may extend longer. Regardless of the duration, we want to ensure that each individual feels safe, comfortable, and valued in their living environment. Ultimately, our mission is to create a nurturing community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Restart Policies & Procedures
We have a number of policies, procedures and other documents that set out the way we work, and outline how we ensure we are compliant with various legal, professional and regulatory standards. These documents are available for you to view and download below. If you want to talk to us about any of these, then please get in touch with the Housing Officer.
The following documents comprise our most recent submission to the Housing Ombudsman and demonstrate our compliance with their Complaint Handling Code.
