RESTART

Helping guide and support you as you rejoin society

Be assured, you are not alone

The journey towards reintegration into society for those who are homeless or released from prison is often fraught with significant hurdles that can impede their effort towards leading positive lives.

We recognise that many individuals who face homelessness and a stable environment in which to rebuild their lives, can often worsen feelings of despair, leading them to withdraw from society. Stripped of necessary skills and support networks, they frequently find themselves disconnected from family and friends which adds to feelings of isolation. Additionally, many have battled substance abuse issues and mental health challenges, which complicates their reintegration path.

The combination of these factors can seem overwhelming, leaving individuals feeling powerless and lacking the self-esteem needed to embark on a fresh start.

At Restart, we are dedicated to assisting these individuals in navigating the complexities of their reintegration journey so that they regain their sense of value and look forward to a brighter future.

Assisting the reintegration journey

As part of our network of services, we provide essential retraining programs, that empower our clients with the skills needed to enter the workforce, thereby fostering a sense of self-worth and independence. Alongside skills training, we prioritise addressing mental health issues and encourage individuals to take responsibility for their actions, including overcoming substance abuse.

Furthermore, we assist in finding stable accommodation, ensuring that they have a safe and secure place to call home—a crucial step towards establishing a sense of belonging and normalcy.

Support to forge a new path

Through ongoing support and guidance, Restart works to help individuals rebuild their lives, transforming what can be an isolating experience into one of community and growth. Our dedicated team stands by their side, helping to mitigate the risk of reoffending and reinforcing the belief that a positive future is possible.

For many, the support provided by our charity is the difference between returning to old patterns or forging a new path filled with pride and contributions to society. By nurturing their abilities and addressing their challenges, we strive to empower them to reclaim their lives and position themselves as valuable members of the community.
