LLOYD COOKE: Chief Executive

Role: As CEO of Saltbox, Lloyd has oversight and leadership of a truly multi-faceted charitable organisation. As well as overall responsibility for the charitable services provided by Saltbox, Lloyd’s role sees him advising civic leaders and advocating for marginalised members of the community, working among church leaders, and bringing the two together to effect meaningful change in society.

Bio: Lloyd is a Methodist Lay Preacher with a passion for serving Christ and the community and over the years he has started many initiatives that demonstrate that passion. In the 30 years since Saltbox came into being, Lloyd has been instrumental in bringing many worship opportunities to Stoke, from the 1987 Praise March to visits from dignitaries such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Lloyd was instrumental in rolling out Faith Action Audits nationally, and the Saltbox Civic Prayer Breakfast model has been adopted in over 50 towns and cities across the UK as a guide of good practice. Lloyd holds many advisory roles on both the civic and faith stages, including Chairman of Lichfield Cathedral Council, Chair of Healthwatch Stoke and Chair of Ministry at Work (Business Chaplaincy).
